In Novem­ber, she launched Milou Palm Beach, a chic cloth­ing and accessories boutique in The Esplanade on Worth Avenue. "I found a loyal following and always wanted to be in Palm Beach because ii is close to home," she notes. A portmanteau of the beginnings of her and her husband's first names, Milou is filled with cotton linen dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets, hats, jewelry, shoes, leather bags, and more.
"Fashion is a passion where I curate equestrian­ inspired, seasonless pieces for the woman who travels the world, and I also create baby dresses and outfits in several styles inspired by my chil­dren," de Guardiola says. "My newest design proj­ect is a line of scented candles."
Since adding the demands of fashion design and running an online and retail boutique, she admits her life is crazy. "I am busy," says de Guardio­la, who Jives with her family on a Wellington farm that includes a beautiful barn with 24 stalls. "I love everything about horses, fashion design, operat­ing a boutique, doting on my family, and raising my kids the way my mom raised me."

Former equestrian show jumper brings her style to Palm Beach

Former equestrian show jumper brings her style to Palm Beach

The polo scene is more Wellington than Palm Beach, but Lourdes de Guardiola has managed to bring an equestrian flair to the island.

On Wednesday, the former equestrian show jumper and coach hosted a trunk show at the Meat Market with collections from her online specialty boutique Milou Palm Beach.

Her focus is seasonless clothing with both bohemian and polo chic, a.k.a lots of linen and leather.

“I carry designers that match the equestrian lifestyle,” de Guardiola said.
